How To: Fix Broken Shadow with......Astringent:)

Heyllo everyone

How are you doing today ? Today I am sharing my trick that I used to fix my broken shadow -so if you are interested then  keep on ready buddy ;)

A while back I shattered my very beloved darling Body Shop blush in the color Petal –

I was heartbroken….
It was a gift given to me by my bro and it’s such a pretty blush I highly recommend it

To fix the mess that was made I researched away on the lovely internet to see if there was anything that could mend this ….and all I could find was ‘rubbing alcohol’ or ‘spirit’ and I had neither…..and was not able to find it anywhere or you could say that i didn't try my hardest ,oh well.

One advice that was applicable was to press the broken powder with a tissue paper but that was a quick short term fix but that a good trick if you don't have anything in hand and your broken shadow is getting all over the place.

I looked in to makeup bag to find a powder something that was not as expensive as my Body Shop Blush and I found one blusher of mine by the BEAUTY SOLUTIONS which was broken long ago

out of curiosity I tried to find that with the

Clean and Clear -blackhead clearing cleanser/astringent

as it also contains the ingredient ‘alcohol’ in it so why not experiment with it right....

Firstly I crushed the shadow into fine particles with a toothpick or anything with a point to it

Tiny bits broken blush ready to mend

and add in few drop of the
Clean and Clear -blackhead clearing cleanser/astringent
and start to mix it all together, you can totally add more if you need.

Adding Clean & Clear astrigent few drops to the blush

Mixing clean & clear astringent with the blush

wait for the astringent to dry overnight to dry

If any excess solution is on the surface in the container you can easily soak it down with a cotton bud

Soak the excess astringent with a cotton bud

Let the mixture air dry overnight .....
the next day press down with a tissue paper to remove any excess liquid

Press tissue paper on the blush to remove any excess astringent that is left

And voila that is it and it worked…..
my old blusher looks as good as new.

and hey you know what the best part is its waterproof now….YaH!!

Its applies beautifully, blend like a dream, doesn’t irritate the skin, and I use it now as my base for my eye shadow as its doesn’t crease. Happy Happy:)

Swatch of the product
A decent swatch for you all..:)

Now to be sure that it works with every product I also tried it on my loose powder for face and it also worked -now that loose powder is my absolutely favorite as my skin stay shine free and stay put all day and does not get everywhere  in the air when I use it.

One thing I do have to mention is that maybe sometime you could get this film on the product and that make the product unusable but if you gently remove that top layer with a toothpick the product is still useable.

I only encountered this with my loose powder.

This didn’t occur with my other blusher or eye shadows so with further ado

I went ahead and tried it on my Body Shop Blush 'Petal'

The Body Shop Blush crushed in a pot

Clean & Clear astringent added to the The Body Shop Blush

The Body Shop Blush matter placed back in its pot

I pressed down the powder right then and there cause i wanted a nice shape to my blush like the other side so it wont look like its was broken
and you can actually see some liquid seeping down the pink side of the blush but don't worry it doesn’t really matter, it will dry the next day:)

Now it’s all brand new and I don’t need to worry about it anymore
so happy that I was able to mend this product.

And that’s about it.

If you have any other nifty tip or trick that you fix your broken blushes /eye shadow with then don't forget to share it in the comment below I would to hear it and many other will appreciate it too....

That’s all you all.

Thank you for coming back and ready my post out of your precious time, means a lot....

Talk to you all very soon

Lots of Love.

Spring and Summer Fashion Find: A Shoe to Share:)

Although I love me some fashion and beauty and all that jazz but I don’t shop like a crazy person -that is why I don’t end up doing hauls post L ….

……but i do like to shop for pieces that  I know I would value and get my use out from in the future
...i hate wasting product so….in a way you could say  i more of a saver than a spender…J

Anyway , I was out and about in search for a pair of shoe to go with my outfit for a wedding I had to go to.

Pakistani weddings are all about glam and I had nothing to match up to the par so I went on a shoe hunt -I was looking for a decent pair that would be practical even after the wedding and not something that I would never wear afterwards.

My first stop was to Stylo Shoes a pretty well-known brand in Pakistan.

Stylo Logo

And there these were the first piece really  that caught my eye and I got attracted right there.…
.it was in love at first sight….if you say....;)

Shoe Haul

Shoe Detail

They are nothing that I have in my collection (not that I have a huge shoe collection) but you can say they are out of my comfort zone.
Add splash of color to any outfit,
 scream Spring and Summer ,
can be paired with anything and are absolutely gorgeous……

They costed me a total of Rs.1990 which is not a lot in my opinion for the detail that goes in the design I think I got them at a reasonable price.

This purchase was my happy purchase, wherever I see them they just make me smile……smile like a crazy person……

Do you have any of your purchase that make you smile like a crazy person or is that just me???

Thank you for reading my post….it makes my world go round and round…..

Leave you pretty comments down below….

And tell me do you like this one thing haul thing or any haul at all….or are they not your cup of tea..??

Leave your suggestion down below….I’ll be glad to get some tips from you guy to help me make my blog grow….:)

Till then take care

Update: Goal EveryMonth, Month 2 :) : 8 Glass Water Challenge Goal

Being honest here to all of you is quite a important thing for me to do so here is a truthful update on the 8 Glass Water Challenge .

So the beginning of the 8 Glass water Challenge is going a pretty flop here.:(
Its been a quite un-motivating and I am consuming just near to 5 glasses of water maybe 4 even. Yes . Nothing close to what I planned for .

I have got myself a water tumbler 1 month back so hopefully that would jump start my water challenge goal

So this is the Update and to let you all know that I am going to start over with this month goal and ya that is about it.

Short and Simple….

I’ll be updating much more on how this time things are rolling around on my twitter account .

But clearly this goal wasn't as easy as I expected it to be….but anyway…

Not giving up just now...and pushing forward....

Take care you all

Hope you are accomplishing on your goals and living a life you want…:)

Many love ….

Makeup Brushes Collection

In my previous post I said I will be doing my
Makeup Brushes Collection”
so here I am with my
Brush Collection and let me be clear its not HUGE...but its perfect for anyone who is wanting to start with their brushes collection

Total Picture of Makeup Brushes Collection

Some days later after my trip to M.A.C cosmetics I went to The Body Shop and browsed through their brushesThey were quarter/half the price of mac brushes but almost the same quality none the less- they were very soft and I decided to go for them and they were my birthday gift from my ami that is my mom… I was quite scared to be honest because I couldn’t find much reviews on the body shop brushes but I  just hoped that they would work out.

I bought 2 brushes from there that I thought would be good for multi-tasking, and let me tell you they cost me 192 approx. dirham….I was a happy camper

btw The Body Shop is on sale right now….so if you want to try them…:)

I got Face & Body Brushes for powder foundation, bronzer and  blusher &
Eye Shadow Blending brushes are used for shadow application, crease work, and blending and  a soft outer V.

The Body Shop Brushes

I was a beginner so the two brushes were ideal for me to be honest and made me really think over that you don't need million brushes for each purpose and you can really multi-task.

Now I am not going to sit here and say that I didn’t add anything to my collection

After 1 year of playing with these two brushes i wished to try out Sigma Beauty i entered the very lovely xteeener Sigma Contest of $100 gift card on Youtube  and somehow my luck was with me and i won.

Yeppiii..... after many thoughts and evaluation I went for the:

E20 short shader brush for precise shadow application
F82 Round Kabuki Brush for my liquid foundation (i heard tremendous things about this brush and i truly think they are true if you can get this brush get it NOW!!!)

Sigma Makeup Brushes

For my eyebrows you would actually laugh but I use a flat paint brush and its work wonders….
and i use it to give a soft line to my upper and bottom lash line again multi tasking:)

Eyebrow Makeup Brush

Then for grooming my eyebrows I use any clean mascara brush and that is it for brows work.:)

Eyebrow taming ,mascara brush

I have a round small paint brush that I use for the inner corner of my eye and highlight on my brow bone

Round pointed tip brush

That completes my brush collection ….
Simple and Sweet.

Hope you all liked this post and that's about it.....

Let me know what your must have brushes are or tell me about you Makeup Brushes Collection
I AM interested:)

Till then take care
